Lets start here

I have always liked writing as I don't always like talking. Especially not about myself, so I had a hard time wrapping my head around all these new developments in terms of social media. Everything has become so different from when I started this game long ago. But I enjoy helping people through writing helpful articles, so hence the reason for starting my very own blog. There is so much to write about so I wondered what I should write about first but then I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself so you get to know what I am all about

When I a social situation talking to people my eyes always light up when someone brings up Archery! So its safe to say I am really passionate about it and constantly think about archery. So its either a very sad story to you or you may relate to this and that is why you probably are here.

Here goes...

I grew up on a farm near Johannesburg South Africa. The first time a picked up a bow was at the age of 9. I never stopped shooting since then. Archery was the reason I did not study like I was supposed to. I dreamed about it when I was asleep and also every waking hour.

I started competing when I was 13 and basically grew up with the pioneers of archery competition in South Africa.

So my passion grew and grew each year the more I progressed as a shooter. I started as a 3D and Field archer but later I progressed to the World Archery Style tournaments. The 50M Outdoor is probably my favourite format, however I enjoy most formats.

As far as my future goals go I have really more knowledge and will power than ever before. I have less distractions and am able to focus more on my goals than ever before.

My goal as a target archer is to be the best version of myself as a shooter and and that is it.
